I now live in a blue state! A blue state where 62% my neighborsbelieve that I should be treated as a second-class citizen, but a blue state nonetheless.
I'm really not sure what to make out of the dichotomy that America elected a fairly liberal democrat for President but voted against such obvious civil rights issues in Florida and California. Just when I think we're making steady progress forward we take two steps back.
Religious fanatics seem to think that since God is always in their private business and telling them how to live, it's OK for them to do it to everyone else.
I'm so happy that Obama won, but these other issues are so frustrating. Ugh!
It doesn't surprise me in the least. The same ones that so rabidly supported Obama are the same who display such intense hatred at women and gay people. The election is over. Welcome to the underside of the bus.

Brilliantly put. Thank you.

Just curious, Cyrus, where's your post about your dream Obama Administration folks?
