And, All Evil Things Too!

As a follow-up to my last post, it appears that all evil things must end too. Hateful, smirking, self-righteous and just plain mean Jerry Falwell has finally left this world. I don't want to celebrate anyone's death, but I must admit that I feel a sense of relief knowing that Jerry Falwell can no longer use religion as a deadly weapon against love and peace and tolerance.

All Good Things

The pure genius of New Order was one of the greatest factors determining who I became. "Perfect Kiss" from 1985 is an electronic symphony handed straight down from the heavens. This week, they officially called it quits after 27 years of innovation and art. I am so grateful that my era coincided with theirs.

It's Not Over

Last week, I received an e-mail that Jeff was not doing well - like, really not doing well. The e-mail went out to the whole extended group of friends, and it let us all know that Jeff had developed Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy, and that he was not expected to pull through. None of us even knew that Jeff was sick. Jeff passed away on Sunday. Jeff was a great guy, and I'm so, so sorry for those who were closer to Jeff than I was. I'm not sure what else to say, so I'll leave it at that.
